Wii style Genesis goodness, Lego Harry Potter, Engadget has no comment, and the ‘REAL’ avatar trailer looks awesome. Enjoy!

  • Zone Sega Equals Genesis Wii
Yep, the Sega Genesis licensing, ahem whoring, continues. Zone 40 has gotten their hands on the license, and to much surprise, has made something pretty special. Nintendo Wii style wireless controls, built in ROMs and cartridge support. Me wants.
  • Lego Harry Potter Game In May
Seems Harry Potter is going to get some Lego love. These Lego games have become really popular lately. From Lego Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, to Rock Band. Seems these family friendly games are on the rise.
  • Engadget Says, No Comment
Arguably one of the biggest downfalls of the internets is its anonymity. While this is great in some cases, the fact that anyone can say anything with little to no retribution, makes it a somewhat hostile place. Well, Engadget is saying that their tired of it by temporarily killing their comment system. This is surprising because Engadget’s comments are a very important part of their ecosystem. I don’t see them doing this for long, but it goes to show how internet flaming can frustrate the producers of content.
  • The Last Airbender Super Bowl Spot
After seeing this leaked Super Bowl trailer of The Last Airbender, I have to say that I’m completely on board with M. Night Shyamalan and his vision. This movie just went on the must see list.

Another week of links. OnLive Dissected, the REAL Avatar has posters, and Apple tries to change the way we compute. Enjoy!

  • OnLive Dissected, Fears May Be Correct
Seems that well respected PC journalist Ryan Shrout has gotten a chance to give the much anticipated OnLive cloud gaming service a test run. And for the most part, seems it does well, but… As suspected, fast twitch games like shooters seems to suffer. Who didn’t see that coming?
  • The Last Airbender (The Real Avatar) Movie Posters
Some posters for the upcoming live-action movie adaption of the much beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender have finally cropped up on the net. I was more than skeptical about this project upon first hearing about it, and even more skeptical when I hard that M. Night Shyamalan was directing. Judging from his past work, this didn’t exactly seems like his cup of tea. But, after hearing about his passion for the property, and seeing the first trailer along with these posters, I have to say it looks promising. Can’t wait to see more!
  • Apple iPad Debuted, Industry Yawns
Apple finally had their much awaited event this week, and according to the masses, the announcement was to be one of biblical proportions. Well, the iPad was shown and since has been met with much criticism and dismay. I’m still on the fence about this one. If the industry is ready to receive a tablet, this may the be device.
